Austausch mit Poole (England)

Poole is cool!

Poole is cool! Check it out! (Ansprechpartner: Peter Rennholz)

Arrival, 7.10. 2005
When we arrived at London Stanstead, nobody believed we are in England. It looked the same as Germany. Only the weather was a bit more rainy.
We had to walk trough many floor until we arrived our Bus. It was the "Coach of the year 2004"!
We were all a bit nervous when Mr. Rennholz told us we had Pool nearly arrived.

Saturday, 8.10.2005
At three o´clock we met Abbies father and his new girlfriend. We went into a cafe to drink something. Abbie talked to her father, but I didn´t do. Abbie´s father is from Newcastle and speaks a dialect. Abbie told me no one understands him and so I only sat there and drunk my Coke.

Tuesday, 11.10.2005
After Stonehenge we went to Salisbury, which is a nice old town with a big Cathedral, where "Magna Carta" is exhibited. Together we visited this building. After that we had a walk trough the City in little groups. With my group I first went to "Tesco", a big supermarket, ab then to the "Pizza Hut" because of Jochen´s wish.

LONDON!!
We hadn´t good weather, but we didn´t care. We had a ride on "London Eye" first. I enjoyed it very much an took many pictures. After that we were allowed to walk trough London. My group went.....yes, of course,..... the "Pizza Hut".

Friday, 14.10.2005
In the morning normally we should go to the lessons, but we didn´t. Instead we watched Mr. Mathers favorite film "Grease". Then we had to leave Poole for catching our bus.
We needed 5 Hours to go there instead of 3 because of traffic jam. 3 of them we watched "Desperates Houswives" on DVD an after that we all were really desperate, too.
When we came to the airport we had to hurry for catching the plane in time. After Check-In we run zu Gate 48 as on our Boarding Card stood. When we arrived there was nobody and the TV showed nothing....
The teachers looked aghast.
Then one of the pupils said: "Let´s ask over there." We went over to Gate 49 and they told us we had to Check-In here. We all were happy and flew relieved home.

Thanks to all the people, who helped, making this exchange unforgettable!
